HELLO Everyone ! Emm...It is not too late for me to wish Mdm Faridah and my friends, “SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI”
This is my third time posting a comment. Due to the issue brought up by Ying Ying on SHOULD homosexual marriage be legalised??? ... I would say that its must be legalised !!!
From the Statement of Affirmation and Reconciliation by the Quaker meeting in Aotearoa,
“Each individual's journey through life is unique. Some will make this journey alone, others in loving relationships - maybe in marriage or other forms of commitment. We need to ponder our own choices and try to understand the choices of others. Love has many shapes and colors and is not finite. It cannot be measured or defined in terms of sexual orientation."
From the statement above, it’s true that everyone has the rights to make their own choice and in accepting choices of others but it is considered as long as it is not against the religious practices. I believe that every religion have the reasons for prohibiting things that may lead to harm.
Marriage is a social recognition and approval..of a couple's engaging in sexual intercourse and bearing and rearing children.. it’s mean that the heterosexual unions provide the procreative foundation of the family unit that is the chief social building block of civilization. Just like what Ying Ying had mentioned, marriage is more than recognising people who love each other and want to spend their lives together. Through marriage, the society marks out the relationship of two people who will together transmit human life to the next generation and nurture and protect that life and without a shadow of doubt, homosexual marriage wouldn't ensure that..
The point that homosexual partnership is inherently sterile as no one can neither choose nor change their sexual orientation. It is against the marriage concept on bearing and rearing children for the next generation. Can we imagine the world without kids? Or abandon partners with the same sex? I’m sure it will be horrify looking at the couples. Of course it’s not a good practice and values that can be shown to the children. What will they think about it? Just ask ourselves, do we want the children to follow that bad attitude? Obviously it’s against the religious practices and indirectly against God’s creation. God had created us as what we should be. We shouldn’t change the fact.

I ‘m not really understood with Brian. He doesn’t agree and not oppose homosexual marriage as their lifestyle is out of the norm and it is indeed ethically wrong. But later he said that he don’t want to be one sided and just follow the flow. In my opinion, yes it’s true that we don’t have the rights to judge them as all of us are the creation of god. But as a human we are responsible to fix what is wrong and prevent thing that is not right.

Well, this is what I think and my opinion regarding this issue. I’m sure that other peoples have their own opinion. Till then, thank you. Have a nice day! -NIK FATIN SARAH A116830-
